In the 7 games Billy missed through injury in February/March, Brighton scored ONE goal.

People don't give a shit about build up and consistently finding passes through the lines. But Tony and any manager does, so people are going to have to live with this Xavi type player who carries games without putting the ball in the net himself.

Hard to come to any conclusions on our run in, the manager had gone AWOL in his head and we were decimated with injuries. Actually no, I have come to a conclusion RDZ is not cut out for managing a team where he has to “make do”. Everything that goes wrong is not his fault. Brilliant when things are going well but a stroppy kid when they aren’t. We were better than we finished the season, even with the injuries but if the manager gives up then it’s logical that the players do too.

This. Could say the same thing for Dunk, JPVH, Verbruggen or even Veltman because he only gets one goal a season.

Same here. £12M seems incredibly low - to me that's a 'binning him off' price. Wonder how much of that £12M Chelsea would get?

Mats Wieffer and maybe Diego Gomez (after the Olympics) will do that for us. Both big old units who can fall back into Hürzeler’s back 5 when we set-up the low block. Also players who can shoot and assist.

And my point is that missing one of the most successful progressive passers in the league was almost certainly a factor why we spent seven games circulating the ball without finding passes in between the lines.
