Surely it’s Moder they have bid for..
Chelsea would be entitled to money from the sell on clause that we received as well, it doesn't just stop once we've sold him as it's still money coming in for that player.Transfermarkt believe that we paid about £7m for him. Say Chelsea have a 30% sell-on, that is normally on the profit. So about £1.5m to Chelsea from the £5m profit.
But what if we, in order for Napoli to get him so cheap, had a 50% sell-on clause with this deal?
So hypothetically, if Napoli sold him to Milan for £40m in 2027, we could get another £14m from the profits and limit the amount Chelsea get from the sale this summer. Total profit on WBG would be £17.5m which would be pretty good for a player rejected by our new manager.
.
Are we assuming the wee man is open to a move, can’t see it progressing even to bid stage without the nod?
I agree with most of what you’ve said, but the issue with Gilmour is that I’m still not convinced the defensive side of his game - ground duels, aerial duels, physicality, pressing, ability to eat up ground - will be enough to take him to the next level. As it stands, he still needs a physical monster next to him to be at his best, and also needs to be deployed in a very specific system which utilises a deep lying playmaker.Yes, and that is usually the case with defensive midfielders.
A lot of them doesn't score goals because they rarely get into the penalty box and they're rarely targets on set pieces.
Dale Stephens and Yves Bissouma also had their doubters. One of them was great at controlling the game and the other a complete monster and by far our best player for a while. "His shots always go over the bar, he's not as good as the Dutch Volvo we're playing as right back". Deary me.
They haven't said that at all - they stood in the way of Lewis Dunk wanting to move (at that time). They stood in the way of Elliott Bennett wanting to move on (at that moment in time). They stood in the way of Dale Stephens wanting to move on (at that moment in time). They stood in the way of Moises Caicedo wanting to move on (at that moment in time). The club have always said they’ll never stand in the way of anyone wanting to move on.
We're going Dycheball? We'll need a bigger big man up the front though .............................If you’ve ever watched St Pauli play, you’ll know why they’re open to selling WBG. A ready supply of rocket launchers at the back combined with 7ft tall strikers is the future. No need for a midfield that tries to play football. He is the anti-De Zerbi
Well they wouldn't let me change my seat for next season. The club have always said they’ll never stand in the way of anyone wanting to move on.

Just seen the report on the BBC website - seriously (even with blue and white spectacles) £8M has got to be a joke, surely? That's a P1ss off and put the phone down response required, isn't it? OK, we have refused it, but as robustly as we should have? Worrying.
He’s a great footballer who’s not particularly defensive or attacking. He’s also wee. Needs Giants around him.I wouldn't be disappointed to see him leave. I don't think he's as good as many seem to think he is.
Well, haven't we just bought some? He’s a great footballer who’s not particularly defensive or attacking. He’s also wee. Needs Giants around him.
I’m relishing the prospect of Neo Long Ball but I understood Hurzeler ball to be no-midfield overloads. Like the polo ten hag formation. If you’ve ever watched St Pauli play, you’ll know why they’re open to selling WBG.
