I find it hard to believe that so many like Doombore, london pride, Spitfire etc. These beers are truly dull.

i find it hard to believe so many like all the citrusy american influenced pale ales. these beers are truely like dish water. but each to their own who find a pleasing drink in them.

on the other hand many of those small brewers are doing more than just american pale ale, so its all good.

The bottom two of your list are two of my favourites at the moment. Tried Brewdog's Jackhammer recently another fantastic beer.

These are my current top 5 but two of these are not regularly brewed and not always available .

Pretty much anything by Kernel or Mikkeler gets my vote and of course Brewdog.

I've had to leave out several others, including St Austell Proper Job, Shepherd Neame Master Brew when on form, as well as various Woodforde's ales. I have to say I'm not that keen on Dark Star beers, as I find them too hoppy. Young's was my favourite non-Sussex brewer when they had their London brewery, but their move to Bedford has spoilt the beers - it's Charles Wells's brewery.
