I'm presuming you mean the Yanks version of Budweiser in that awful litany of dross and not Budvar?

An lot of inverted snobbery on this thread already.

Budvar is ok, but yes, meant the budWASSSSSSSUUUUUUUUPPPPPweiser

And yes, whenever Ale is mentioned, there's so much snobbery and bum sniffing it's fun the watch

Up and Coming Sunny Portslade
Timothy Taylor Landlord.
Fullers HSB
Harvey's Best.

Obviously the last two are cracking choices but so is Landlord. There was a pub we always used to go to in Manchester if we had an away game in the vicinity that introduced me to that one, did a cracking pint of it often drunk with cheese and pickled onions.

My tastes change over the seasons but in Summer I believe my five favourites would be:

Kelburn Jaguar (second finest ale I have ever tasted)
Harveys Best
Timothy Taylor Landlord (numero uno in my opinion)
Brewdog Punk IPA
Summer Lightning

then again I like so many others it is a difficult one to whittle down.

Whatever's on the second tap from the left in the Five Bells in Smock Alley.

These preferences change all the time depending on season, tastebuds, availability and geographical location.

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
I remember the time when there were only 5 real ales, just can't remember which they were !

Impossible to name 5, but the Pope's Yard Keeping Porter in brett-infected casks that I got to sample in Amsterdam last weekend is certainly the best of the last few days. Who knew such good things could come out of Watford?
