To add to the Potter v De Zerbi debate, (and inspired by Louise Taylor's reference in the Guardian's coverage of the weekend's games), we have a nominatively better statistical chance of winning the FA Cup under Roberto. Unless you count George, no Grahams have ever managed their team to a FA Cup win. (One Graeme - Souness with Liverpool in 1992). Seven Robertos/Roberts/Bobs/Bobbys have been winning managers.

I'll give you the pre-war one - Bob Crompton with Blackburn Rovers in 1928.
That leaves six Robert(o)s to guess NSC.

Give their name, the team they managed and the year they won.
One name per post please. That gives more people a chance to play.

For a bonus point - Who is nominatively the most likely to score the winner for us? Only one of our current outfield* first team squad shares his forename with the scorer of a winning goal in a post war FA Cup final. Who? (He has to be known by the same name variation i.e. Billy Gilmour and Bill Perry (Blackpool 1953) doesn't count).

* - Sorry Mr Sanchez (Pires 2003)

Roberto Di Matteo Chelsea 2012
Correct - Not only a winning manager, but also a winning goal scorer in 2000 against Aston Villa. Also the scorer of what was at the time the faster ever goal in the final in 1997. Louis Saha broke his record in 2009.

Mancini, Man City, 2011?
You got it.

Three different Robertos managed their teams to wins in three successive years between 2011 & 2013. The 2013 final was actually Martinez against Mancini, so a guaranteed Roberto win whatever happened on the day.

Anybody know the bonus?

Putting aside the creative speling, Denis Law didn't score the winning goal in an FA Cup Final. He scored Man U's first in 1963, but Leicester's consolation goal meant that David Heard's first of two was the winning goal.

Against our very own Ben Roberts! Surprised you didn't mention that given the Brighton and Robert connections :wink:
