I'll add The Black Keys.
Oasis.
Saw them at the O2 last year. Probably the best I've ever seen from them.Simple Minds
REM. early stuff was proper shite!
First saw them in Jenkinsons in 79, thought they were tremendous. Ten years later at Wembley thought they were poor but they've got a lot better since. Seem far more relaxed these days.Good call, I saw them in their early days in Brighton and they were terrible.

Someone else who's improved because of this is Blancmange. Thought they were shit when I saw them early 80s but it's now a great gig.
PS Personal favourite of mine and producing some of his best stuff since Replicas ... Gary Numan.
the RHCP have definitely not got better later in their careers. Scar Tissue was a good song on a good album but it was released in 1999 and they've made a pretty decent amount of middle of the road rubbish since then (amongst some half decent stuff to be fair). But their early stuff was great in my view...I really enjoyed mothers milk and blood sex sugar magik much more than anything else they've done

I couldn't disagree more. REM's first five Albums were masterpieces and in my view they started going downhill from Automatic for the People onwards. Although I have everything they have ever released I think I have played their final album twice.
Genuine question - did you read the question wrong?Oasis.
