Must get Ravilious in there. Grew up and educated in Eastbourne. Sadly lost over Iceland in WW2.

Excellent man. Depicted the South Downs perfectly. Great exhibition at Dulwich Gallery last year. As you say though grew up in Eastbourne. Born in Acton. I suppose that counts. I see myself as Sussex although born in Exeter and here in my 6th year.
