My mum found a treasure chest the other day...

Whilst clearing out a cupboard, she found my old Albion stuff. Not only a copy of Boys in the Old Brighton Blue (Which someone is converting to CD for me) but 42 copies of Gullseye (or Gullsear) and 6 copies of And Smith Must Score. And the Cup Final Replay programme.

Thought these might be of interest :-

I too have a box with all my treasured footy related stuff, shirts, programmes etc etc, still have my copies of gulls eye, including one where they printed a letter I sent in (featuring an early moan about Mark Farrington, and I hadn't even seen him play at that stage), probably the only time anything I will ever write appears in print.

CAN'T BEAT ON THE UP AND SEASIDE SAGA!!

One and the same I believe. Only someone with a vested interest could have written that Weezle! I used to write a column for those organs entitled 'View From Across the Pond' (when living in the USA) and 'View from The Smoke' when living in West Norwood, the heart of enemy territory.

Stop making me feel old, damnit. I was 19 or 20! :nono:

Think yourself lucky. I appear to be nearly 10 years older than you!

Didn't buy Gulls Eye much, but got loads of Scars and Stripes and Keep The Faith.

My programme collection is also VAST. When I moved, there seemed to be programmes in every box I looked in!

Sad that 15 years on from those issues of Gull's Eye the issues are still the same; no new stadium, AONB etc., etc.
