My MP
As I have a Labour MP in Huddersfield Barry Sheerman I wrote to him about the stadium bid at Falmer.
Part of the reasoning is to show that Brighton & Hove Albion are not a provincial club.
I had an email back saying that he would contact me when he had had an answer from John Prescott's dept.
Today I have had a letter from the House of Commons.
It says the Inspector's report has been received for consideration by the First Secretary of State. A decision has yet to be made. As you may appreciate for reasonss of procedural propriety, I am unable to discuss the details of the case. Your constituent may wish to know that representations received after the close of the public inquiry will be taken into account by the First Secretary of State so far as they are relevant in making his decision.
A copy of the Frist Secretary of State's decision letter, once issued, will be sent to you'
This is signed by Keith Hill (John Prescotts assistant)
Basically this is saying that all this campaigning is being taken into account and JP is sticking to the letter of the law so no-one can call in a judicial inquiry when he gives his answer. I find this very positive and I am also impressed by my local Labour MP Barry Sheerman
