My first game - We have 4 quality players

I think we have more than 4 good players. I would add Tunnicliffe, Virgo, Mcnulty, Whing, Crofts and Murray and Cox and Elphick. All of these players have been good enough at this level in the past. It is a matter of confidence/form/attitude. An eleven as listed below should imo be good enough to hold its own or better in this division and I firmly believe that Slade will get the best out of them if given the time.

Kuipers/Smith
Whing/Hoyte
Mcnulty
Virgo
Tunnicliffe
Bennett
Crofts
Dicker
Cox
Forster
Dickinson

A settled defence would be a massive help.

I'd say

Forster
Dickinson
Dicker
Bennett

are our best four, with Mcnulty (has to prove hmself with his injuries), Tunnicliffe not far behind. Rest of team could be, but they have been lacking form for a long time.

Problem

There is a further complication to this idea that we are good going forward and poor at the back - and that is we are only good going forward in about one in three games. It really doesn't add up to much overall, which is why we are where we are.

I'd say we have fie quality players at the moment: Bennett, McNulty, Dicker, Murray and Forster

We also have a whole host of good league one players: Crofts, Tunnicliffe, Virgo, Dickinson etc

The position we are in is just not good enough, we should be challenging at the top end of the table, not the bottom

Short and succinct.
You'd be right though - last home match we were chipping to the far post vs a big keeper, and only counted around three actual saves for the whole match.
This one had another tall keeper, and we battered at the door with many more chances - but then contrived to commit suicide defensively.
One way or another, it undoes any good work done, to be guffing it up every match and leaking goals to poor rivals.
