I've been out of the UK since July last year and I have no idea about any music released in this time. I feel a bit left out What should I look for and download?

any genre, but please nothing too obscure. Stuff played on the radio, that sort of thing.

Why are people only interested in new music? Just because something is new it doesn't follow that it's good.

The new Scissor Sisters album.. been listening to it all weekend. I'm normally into rock but this album is great fun up tempo bop around the kitchin or hand bag music.
