Murray's back

Forgive me for appearing to be ITK, and I expect to be flamed (that's not unusual!), very recent insight is that he does want to come, and we want him to come (as Bozza's insight recently suggested was the case a few weeks back). The problem is that Eddie Smug Perfect certainly does not want to let him go (and that is not exactly the same thing as saying he thinks he will need him in the run in). The club suspects this is just Eddie Smug Perfect being smug because he has absolutely no need to let him go (even if he doesn't want to use him in league games) and there is no conceivable benefit to them in letting him go at this point (even us paying part or all of his wages is a small p in a very large pot). So, unless Glenn does a Bridcutt (a terminology that should now be in the OED, a term meaning 'can't be 4rsed') then it is unlikely we will get him. In situations like this, the acquiring club has in the past been known to try and get a lever in there, and help the player concerned to expedite the breakdown.....

Maybe because there's been about 500 different threads on the subject and there was nothing in any of them. It's boring and unimaginative. And I was right, wasn't I? Because:

HE'S STILL NOT HERE.

So you don't believe all the comments from people on here - a number of whom have good reputations for ITK stuff stating that Murray wants to come back? And all the stuff regarding the Hoskins swap deal?

yeah but I'm insecure because her ex has got a bigger cock and earns more money than me.

And when you had a stand-off with him a while back (she wasn't well that day and didn't take his side) you lost out and he then beat up another bloke and got into the big time.

Now you want her back after she's been and sold herself to another holiday-club. Bit of a tart really.

I know you have your sources Sam and for that reason I usually trust what you say on here but I have a few sources of my own and I have heard he's coming. If I'm wrong, you may gloat away but only passing on what I've been told :)

From a reliable source who knows GM's father-in-law (who lives locally): it is not a done deal yet, but the club is in talks with him. Bottom line is Glenn wants to play football, and is willing to take a significant pay cut in order to do so.

Maybe he has reservations that he wouldn't be automatic first choice with the options we have available? Personally I think he walks into the team no drama.

Oh and before anyone comes at me with 'name your source' etc - I couldn't give an honest **** whether anyone beleives the above :rave:

I almost hope it does happen just to remove all doubt.

And because you'll MASSIVELY get your come-uppance as well.

You're being like Homer in the early stages of that Simpsons episode at the moment.

That is rare common sense for this corner of the internet. But don't forget the numerous threads saying 'We should sign him', 'We're signing him' 'Warren says signing nearly complete' 'He's coming soon as the loan window opens'. Yawn.
Honestly, it feels like we've been stuck in the twilight zone for the last two months. I've never seen so much about one player. You'd think he was the second coming.

I almost hope it does happen just to remove all doubt.

NSC is the Twilight Zone.

He is exactly what we need, a proven goal scorer, and this happens to every player who may or not be joining us including Zamora. The only thing I don't like about these threads is that there are always some who show a deep rooted hatred for him and would even reject the chance promotion if it meant he was key to it.

The next game is the 29th so if it happens it would have to be by the 28th. Until then, maybe stay off the Murray threads :)

One difference between Murray and Zamora is that the latter had the chance to join Palace, some years ago, and chose not to.

If Murray returns, I hope that he refrains from kissing the badge when he scores. When Bobby kisses the badge, we know that he means it.

Murray was never much of a badge-kisser was he?

If he does come back though, I can't wait to hear the kerfuffle up the M23 when the "I always wanted to come back" quotes come out.

I simply think that Muzza is a quiet man and a bit of a loner, nothing wrong with that in my book. I'd almost forgive him aiming v-signs at the north stand, if he scored the goals that fired us to the promised land of the Premier League.

Not that he is likely to by the way . . . aim v-signs at the north stand that is.

Indeed, I wonder if he would be as respectful to Palace as he was to us. I imagine he would.

Surely he doesn't have to take any pay cut to play for us! He is contracted to play for Bournemouth for x amount. He is still entitled to that whether he sits on their bench or comes here and plays. What needs to be agreed between the clubs is whether we pay the full amount of x or a proportion (as we did with Bridge).

I see the senario now, he comes on loan scores the winning goal either straight up or through the playoffs, bournmouth go down he gets the bullet(Eddie Smug) and NSC goes into to meltdown.
Oh please God make it happen ....................I'll go to church on Sundays .................promise

I'd expect him to at least say (accurately) that he's never left Brighton...

I dunno, they've already taken offence to a tweet he posted celebrating the Bournemouth win over Palace a few weeks ago, and his instagram post about Eric Cantona. I think he's deleted the instagram post now though.
