After reading this thread I would have 3 points to make:

1. If it is true why should cardboard be expected to divulge his source as I am sure that I wouldnt.

2. People quote the fact that Murray has bought a house as a reason for it being just a rumour. If I was trying to convince my wife to settle down here I would buy a house that she wanted knowing I could resell it if needed and possibly make money out of the deal.

3. I do not want Murray to go but there are others out there as good that our scouting staff will be aware of and possibly watching. Did anybody on NSC have any incline that we were going to sign him when we did and had anybody even heard of him and his goal scoring. The scouting staff have details of more players than we could ever imagine possible.

am i the only one who believes cardboard? I could see murray and maybe a bit of money in a swap for beckford

beckford - this season constantly at the top of the scoring charts in this division
murray - this season constantly injured

we would have to pay a LOT of money as part of a swap deal for him

There is no way Beckford would come here. He wants higher wages than leeds are paying him, which is £13k a week apparently, when you consider our highest is probably on 3/4k. Dont see why he would leave a decent side, where he has banged in plenty of goals to join one who just escaped relegation no matter how suprising our position was. He will get much better offers, probably go to the championship.
As for murray, hope he stays, but this rumour has been around ever since he moved here. Would be sad to see him go, but there are plenty more strikers we could get in to fill his boots.

He isn't on 13k Per week, He is on about 5k and wants 8-9k I believe, Still out of our price range though.

My First post by the way, So hello(Couldn't find a welcome part of the board).

Oh right, i wasnt certain, but a Leeds fan who posts on here states he is on about 13k a week. Even 9k, i doubt the rest of the squad would be happy see someone walk in on at least 3 times what they are being paid.

The man himself finds the rumours hilarious, especially about Cardiff.

He told me he would look on here aswell, I even wrote the website adress down for him to do so. I met his wife too, if she was unsettled and wanted to leave, I wouldn't argue with her!

Is she a blonde, brune or red-head?
Out of interest where did you meet them?

Brunette... but she's been blonde before, and possibly will be again, who's to say?!

I met them whilst converting them to NPower. They were with British Gas you know, shocking decision. I thought they'd live in a village, like alot of the Albion players do. But no, well, not techincally anyway.

The point is, I spoke to him about the rumours of him leaving and he doesn't understand them, he seemed genuinely annoyed that he missed most of last season and he's determined to get atleast 20 goals next season. I asked him how he'd feel about wearing a pink kit for the away games, and he seemed enthusiastic about it!

Well he hasn't gone yet. Nor has it been confirmed through the club that he has actually put a transfer request in. Looks more likely now though

Still don't think anyone will pay upwards of £300k for a player who was injured most of last season.

as said before, speculating that a player, who is reported as unsettled just about ever since he arrived, is leaving in the next available transfer window does not necessaryily make you right rather than lucky.

Didn't we turn down a £700k offer from Cardiff?? Who are still interest.

His transfer request should be turned down, until such time that somebody comes back to us with £1m offer.
