Murray will go this summer

but dont you think he would have gone by now? we heard this last summer and then again in the January transfer window.

Quite obviously life is a bit more complicated than that.

Depends on who has made an offer, whether it has been accepted, whether he wants to go there. Depends on whether he an offer has been made at all.

That really isn't the issue though. All I'm saying is that there has been enough to suggest that he is far from 100% happy living in the south.

I think Murray is potentially one of the best players I've seen in the stripes.

I'd love him to stay, but I'd hate to think he and his family are unhappy. If that really is the case, he'd be better moving on.

Well firstly the club would want AT VERY VERY LEAST what they paid if not 200k more. With him being injured at the end of last season I would be suprised if anyone would pay 500k. So IF the rumors are true I would imagine he will be with us until Christmas. Anyway we can get another striker in, I would hate for him to go but as some have said life goes on. But I have to say this rumor is getting annoying. People really should stop posting stuff like this unless it is gonna happen very quickly to prove them correct.

This is nonsense, there are no plans to sell him, the only way he will go is if we are offered an amazing amount of money.

Don't worry - some people on here don't understand that you can know something at the club but can't disclose the person/sources name

Most of the time though, it's proved that you know nothing (Knight 'fixing it' for O'Callaghan to never ever play in England again, for example).

Surely though, as consistant as these rumours have been, it's been equally consistant that they've been unfounded as Murray is still here.

Agreed but nobody was going to sign him in the last window were they, a crocked player is not much use in the January window. I guess what I'm saying is that it won't vaguely suprise me if he moves on this summer. Be a real shame as he is exactly the type of forward this club needs imo.

Glenn could become one of the great Albion players. He's already highly appreciated - even if he's not universally adored - by the fans. A lot of my family are Lancastrians and they find it tough when they come South of the Warrington, so I can quite believe Glenn's wife/gf is unsettled. We also know how much influence this can have on some players (and mangers, Mr Gannon). So might be true. I hope not.

The harassment meted out by Worthai Seagull however seems over the top. If this is genuine then why would he reveal his source and why would we want him to? That's the point about sources - they feel confident enough about their anonymity to share some goss. Haranguing Cardboard about this is moronic.

So what's stopping anybody making things up (I'm told they do)? the only answer is credibility I guess. Consistently supplying plausible and subsequently proven bits of information over time. If the poster doesn't have a track record then take it with more of a pinch of salt until they do. If they have a track record of bullshit, then flame away.

I'm with you on this one TRHK...What prat is going to come on here and say "oh, I spoke Tommy Elphick and he told me that Glenn Murray was going to leave"? Do get a reality check people...When I mentioned that Knight was going to stand down a few weeks ago, it was funny how some people completely threw their toys out of their pram because it wasn't them who found out first!

It also makes me laugh when people get upset when someone posts a rumour on an internet message board. FFS, take a chill pill. If it's not true, then so what? It's hardly going to put you down the road to financial ruin is it? IT'S JUST AN INTERNET MESSAGE BOARD!!!

Also, I love the way that some posters on here act whiter than white but actually talk out of the arses 90% of the time. I'm not taking sides in this but Vulture, it's all very well you taking a swipe at BHADEB (again) and I don't always agree with what she writes, but you're hardly the Terry Waite of this board are you?

As for the personal attacks this is where the mods need to start taking a bit more action rather than limiting post counts! I don't mind being slagged off if I've posted bollocks but the starter of the thread clearly has heard something and even if what he's been told is rubbish then why feel the need to make a post just to make the personal attack? It's more ridiculous than if the original post itself was a wind up!

Frankly I find it rather hard to accept that somebody moving 200 miles down the road has such a problem. With all the communication systems we have now it's hardly as though they would be isolated.

Mind you we had this situation with Zamora and Murray is no BobbyZ.

Right... so a player you dont know, who you just got chatting to gave you this information ?

Anyone thinking that although im not saying you didnt have this conversation the players must piss themselves seeing who can get the most bullshit rumours on NSC by chatting to gulliable fans.

They probably have a sweepstake running on who can get the most rumours on here during the summer

That is actually a very plausible bit of reasoning, it would be a pretty amusing off season game to let slip some bullshit and watch NSC go apeshit :lolol:

Rumours of his wife being unsettled may indeed be true - they certainly keep surfacing.

Two things occur to me......first, as Forsters Armband suggests, we need to at least recoup our outlay and having been quite badly crocked last season he won't attract bids at that level unless he proves he is fit, plays games, and scores goals. Therefore he is at best unlikely to leave before the January 2010 window.
And second, blockhseagull may well have hit the nail on the head. I just love the idea of the players getting their own back on NSC by getting us to make total prats of ourselves (not that it takes too much) by posting their feeds. It will be interesting to see if there is a growth in player attributed "facts" over the next couple of months.

Just though you might like to know the club have always been reluctant to sell Murray. Last year, Blackpool had offered £300,000 for his services.
