For me, F1 hasn't been the same since he retired.

Absolute legend and I agree with other posters that F1 hasn't been the same since he retired. I believe he was originally employed in advertising and that he came up with the slogans "Trill makes Budgies bounce with health", and PAL dogfood "Prolongs Active Life". I also remember my brother and his mates (all bikers) back in the early 60's, avidly listening to a BBC LP sound recording of Murray Walker commenting live on the IOM TT Races, just Murray's voice and the sound of bikes screaming past him at over 100mph.
