Its funny how so many peps on this thread are so bitter about him leaving yet are now saying 'oh actually he wasn't that good' blah blah
Some people don't like that he's leaving for money, others don't think he's that good. Different people with different views, shocking.

with your amazing new stadium that will alone allure players everywhere to want to join your club, oh yeah and the thousands of new fans you've just acquired.
What new fans? There were plenty before our ground was sold, but we couldn't exactly fit over 20,000 in the Withdean.
Any way dont be too bitter and good luck
Likewise
Come on Gay Boys Lighten up He wants to better himself And lets face it that cant be to hard to do where ever he goes. So just go out tonight with your Boyfriends Do a bit of Fudge packing and youll feel better in the morning. EAGLESSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
Don't gay bash too much, you might end up being gay when you grow up.

Murray did no more than OK for us. Playing in a team that walked the league playing stylish, flair football he was presented with chance after chance after chance. The result, 22 goals. A serious quality striker would have bagged 30.

Next season in a tougher league, in a side which has recently struggled, will be a real test for him, maybe he wont even reach 15 goals. Well done Palace, what a great coup you think you have got, mugs!

I would just love August 6th to bring us the Pikeys at the Amex. Mr Murray will have a very tough day, and if he continues to live in Brighton he had better keep a low profile as there are always a few people who will take things too far.

Oh Glen:shrug:

I do wonder if some of this is still down to ignorance on Murray's part, as well as money. He's a Northerner
who hasn't played against Palace for us. It could be he just hasn't seen at first hand what we're talking about, he probably knows about the other big rivalries, but not this one. Let's face it, we've hardly played much for 20 years, there are plenty of younger fans who don't really get it either. I suspect he'll be genuinely shocked at what will come his way next season if he signs for them.

Unlikely, I'd presume. Gus seems to know about it, and if people like Charlie Oatway and Gary Hart hadn't hammered it into every one of them by now, I'd be surprised. I would have thought it would be well known in the football world.

Will only be 90 minutes at our place and to a smaller extent at their place for an extra how ever much each week I'm sure he will cope.

Bear in mind that in the last 22 seasons (ie a possible 44 league clashes) we have played them 4 times. You have to be a bit older to remember what the regular matches were like even if you're a fan. Let alone a here-today, gone-tomorrow player.

I suppose. I'd like to think most fans at least would understand it though. I wasn't even born when most of the rivalry was in full flow, but it doesn't take much to read up on it, and those one or two matches a few years ago did enough to sustain it.

I would have thought the players would have at least heard about the rivalry, if not sure of the level. As you say, though, Glenn could be in for a bit of a shock when he realises quite how much abuse he will get.

Guy Butters knew all about the rivalry, Anyone remember his "f*** your rivalry with Palace" post when a bunch of NSC moaners were suggesting our defence was shit? :lolol:

You'd have to be one thick git not to know about it as a Brighton player. I'd suggest Murray doesn't give a f*** rather than he is thick.
