Murray to make move permanant?

Clearly loves playing for The Albion. Make it permanent and piss off the pikeys even more.

Are they pissed off about it? I don't see why given that he fired them into the EPL and caused us some misery along the way too.

The big advantage to buying him now is to stop anybody hijacking the move in the summer.

IMHO we should do that as even if we get promoted he will be a good strong member of the squad.

Worst case scenario is he can't cut it in the Premises in which case we sell him at a profit to a Championship promotion contender. We need to do the deal ASAP.

Just listened back to my recording from the presser. Muzza certainly doesn't think he features in Howe's plans. But of course it's between the clubs.

As with the Chris Martin situation, it's very unlikely he can be recalled, but it is of course how much of their investment Bournemouth want to recoup.

GM is a great striker for us. I cannot however see the point of buying him mid season,when we have him on loan for the whole season anyway.A lot can still happen.He is allegedly on a pretty lucrative contract with Bournemouth .....and we could be close to breaking financial rules. In the summer yes please,but now, i am not so sure.

We are currently paying those lucrative wages, might as well continue.

I can't see the advantage in doing it now. We'll still be able to do it in the summer, but keep our options open. And what if he's injured and we don't go up? Kinda makes us a bit stuck financially.

To be fair to the gent in question im obv slightly dim as well.
i was always under the impression loanees could be recalled under certain circumstances.

have to admit i wasnt aware you could take someone on loan like murray for a year and it was cast iron guarantee he couldnt be recalled at all under any circumstances what so ever

Is this the industry you work in, and are paid to know about? If it is (and with this being the club you cover most), shouldn't you have noticed Paul Barber's comments recently stating that Murray couldn't be recalled? And have you not noticed the issue with Chris Martin, which has made it clear Derby can't recall him?

I also didn't know that players couldn't be recalled without permission from the club the player is at, but recent events have made it quite clear, even though I don't work in the industry. And the poster in question also posted a few weeks ago saying he knew something, but couldn't tell us (you know, the standard dull BS). And yet still he seems to know less than the rest of us.

Might be wrong, but get the feeling GM is at the point in his career where he's no longer chasing the money. He's patently enjoying his football, thriving on the team spirit and has a couple of good seasons left in him still. Plus he lives locally so is living the dream in terms of work-life balance. Can easily see him seeing out his playing career at the Albion. Not everything's always about the money. In the same way I can't see CH being easily lured away by some trigger-happy snake of a chairman for a few dollars more. He'll be relishing the honest and straightforward support of Tony Bloom and can see him being here for years to come. Hope so anyway.

It all depends on if there is a recall clause in the loan contract, and what its terms are.

Which is why no fan ever knows unless someone who has seen the loan contract ( eg Paul Barber and not Timmy ) tells them.
