Brighton striker Glenn Murray is pleased with his side's good start to a tough run of fixtures in League One.

After a 3-1 win at Southampton last weekend, Brighton now face Wycombe in an FA Cup replay, followed by matches against Leeds, Norwich and Charlton.

Murray told BBC Sussex: "We've started this busy run of games well.

"We got a draw last week to stay in the cup (4-4 at Wycombe), we've beaten Southampton, so we've started off well and long may this continue."

After visiting the St Mary's Stadium with last Sunday's trip to face Southampton, Murray's excitement for Brighton's eagerly-anticipated move to the Falmer Stadium has intensified.

"When we came out to look at the pitch when we first got there, a few of the lads said this is what Falmer's going to be like. A few of them said they can't wait," he added.

Glad to see him sounding positive, but not sure about the bit about Falmer. Would have liked him to have said we can't wait.

It's obvious he wants to go. As long as he contines to put in performances like Sunday I don't have a problem with that.

You guys are amazing at reading something into that article that really isn't there! ??? Who's to say that with the change of management and potentially fortunes on the pitch, coupled with Falmer that he won't want to stay?

I think he'll go but with a sharp upturn in form and results, he may think again. I live in hope of seeing the headline "Glenn asks to come off the transfer list"

How soon is now?
im sure its been covered somewhere else before, but why does he actually want out? wants to move back up north?

From what I understand, his ex failed to settle down here and has moved back up north, taking their young son with her. Whether they are still together, or even would be together if he went back up north, I don't know, but he would obviously have greater access to his child..

That may not be fact, but thats my understanding

Is he actually on the transfer list?

ps I think he was on a 3-year contract, so that'd make him about half-way through it now (ish).

I still don't want any player at the club who's heart's not 100% in it. And that includes Murray. But we've got the best realistic alternative to that currently; a free scoring classy striker who's value is soaring every week and appears to be injury free at last. Property doesn't come hotter than that in football and between now and the inevitable transfer when it comes, he seems content to apply himself at the Albion. We're going to get a wind-fall.
