He will be 30 in September , if he doesn't sign an extension and sees out his final year at Palace he can then leave for free and pick up the last big signing on fee of his career.

Lambert and Rodriguez up the road at Southampton look pretty good. Danny Graham's done OK.
The thing is, very few strikers that have scored as many as Murray has, have failed in the Prem - he already has 30, there are bound to be more to come. He is improving all the time - he was fantastic in our promotion winning season, and has been absolutely brilliant this season. He'll do well up there.
And if he does run his contract down, I'd love it if he came back here. And why not? There's no rule that says if you have Ulloa you can't have another quality striker too. He still lives here. Imagine how they'd react at Selhurst.

having scored 30+ goals and turning 30, i'd be very surprised if he didnt either go or have a substantial pay increase. if they dont go up, CP will not afford the latter.

Other than those from the penalty spot, what is the total cumulative distance that the ball has travelled from Murray to the back of the net?
I genuinely don't know.
Obviously we are acutely aware of Murray's defensive prowess.
But no premier league team is going to invest heavily on a player, the wrong side of 30 who, if my gut feeling is correct, is so reliant on the team putting the ball in exactly the right position, 2 yards out.

If you watch the Football League Show regularly you'll see that a lot of his goals are absolute belters.
I only watch one team.
Of the half a dozen goals I have seen him score, in recent weeks, they seem to be either:-
- Ghosting in at the far post as the ball is lobbed over everyone.
or
- Running across the centre half to smash one in at the near post.
We clearly saw what happens when that very good service is stifled.
Although as said I haven't paid too much attention on them across the whole season, so am happy to stand corrected.

Like any other footballer he will go where the best money is paid as would any of us if offered more money for doing our jobs

We wouldn't want him miserable on our bench and he sure as hell wouldn't get in our team. We wouldn't play Ulloa and Murray together and why would he come back to be a back-up? He'll go where-ever some team will pay him most and then be rubbish until his contract year. Didn't he sign a 2 year deal with the 3rd (next year) reliant on certain clauses? Guessing he did enough to activate them this season but maybe also a pay-rise who knows

He'd get a signing on fee even if he did sign a new contract, the only difference being if he went to a club in the Premier League he'd get a larger one than extending with Palace.

Is that such a bad thing though? That is what a striker should do. If you don't like those kind of goals, I guess you don't really like Ulloa who hasn't exactly scored any wonder goals, but gets the ball in the net.

Just imagine.. I think NSC would be down for a month.
My mate who's a steward had to escort him to the box to see his family after the game (I'm not sure he has friends) and said he was a really nice bloke. Naturally I told him he should've chinned the prick
Ullao who is 4 years younger, has just picked up a top scorer trophy for last season, and has only just started in England.
My point is, looking at this season and back to last season, how much of Murray's reward stems from Zaha, Bolasie et al.

Carlisle or Dale? I doubt Dale would want him as he cheated against them to win a pen that wasn't when he played for us. Same as the prick did against us.

Anyone else here would be mercenary if offered a lot more money.
He's an excellent forward, and he should take clubs for whatever he can get in he latter part of his career.

Ulloa will score loads of goals for us.
And a lot of them will be the sort of goals that you're talking about Murray scoring. We have the players to provide the sort of service for him that Zaha, Bolasie etc. provide for Murray.
Throughout the season people have been saying we need a striker who can get on the end of all the chances we create, and put them away. We now have one. Murray is similar, but he's scored some great goals 'of his own' this season as well.
