Anyone able to shed any light on any of these?

I don't want to pour cold water over yesterday's performance as it was excellent, but I can't understand why our manager would drop two of our best players? I'm also more than a little concerned about Glenda...

Well dropping those two players could be seen as making the right decision as we played well, even with 10 men.

As for Murray I haven't a clue. Hopefully taken off as a precaution?

Did Elphick end up being on the bench in the end or not? If he was on bench then I can't imagine it was a fallout with MA or surely he would have been left out of the squad altogether.

Elphick would of been mullered physically by lee hughes, I think it was the right decision not to play him.

I think/hope that if Glenns injury was bad, as in out for a long time, Micky would have said.

Right and Virgo had him tucked up in his pocket along with the other players. That is apart from the penalty and the last 41 minutes of the game!!!!!!!!!!

Virgs managed to get a tasty dig in at Hughes a few minutes after they scored. Hughes got barged by AV on the goal-line near the corner flag and ended up sliding into the advertising hoardings which required him getting treatment from the Oldham physio.

Elf and Thornton were both on the subs bench. Gave the Brighton fans a wave when we raised a chant as both were warming up down the touchline.

Murray twisted his ankle and is doubtful for Friday obviously Elphick will come in for Virgo suspended and as regards Thonrton he probably wanteda workman like midfield to play for a point rather than the extravagance of a flair player.

We talking about the same Elphick? I think he is outstanding and see no reason unless he was injured why Adams would not play him!

Elphick has himself to blame after the comments in Fridays Argus....

“Oldham are flying and they are a threat up front with Lee Hughes,” he said. “He has been around and he knows what it is all about.

“He got the better of me up there last year. We came away with a 1-1 draw but I was beaten too easily for his goal, so I will be looking to put things right.

Isnt the last sentence there the essense of his attitude towards the game though?
