He wasn't.

But as that lino gave EVERYTHING offside against us in the second half, it was some kind of miracle that he kept his flag down.

If the defender to the right of their goal had not decided to do the mannikin challenge whilst his two colleagues stepped up he would have been off-side, schoolboy error

Bang in line and first thought was on. The Lino got several well wrong today - mainly for us.

The Fulham no. 17 played him onside.

When their left-back ran over to the lino to complain, the lino pointed straight at the no.17, and there was a roll of the eyes and no more complaint from the left back.

Best thing was, he then wandered over to a team mate and pointed at their no.17, and the team mate did the same thing (rolled eyes, no complaints).

He (17) clearly has form... :)

There's a photo elsewhere on Nsc, with the caption of mannequins, which shows the number 17 playing him onside. Maybe someone can search for it and post it here.

Edit. It was on Twitter

To think that this player in question (Ragnar Sigurdsson) scored against England during that farcical you-know-which-one fixture!

Just checked the laws of the game, and apparently offside is not the same as unmarked.

From my seat in lower west I was surprised there was no flag but the lino in line didnt give it as he did their goal so will take it and move on.

Their goal was never in question though. There was a quiet around me before we erupted. Looks like the linesman called it well.

Looks like the defender is a Robin Gibb tribute act.
