saying Hemed is no better than COG is laughable. I do wonder if some on here watch the same games as me.
You're certainly right about THAT, mate.
saying Hemed is no better than COG is laughable. I do wonder if some on here watch the same games as me.
Show me the Hemed goals from open play NINE games into the season? Oh, sorry, I forgot, 'he holds the ball up well'. Same excuse we used to make for COG til it got WAY beyond embarrassing.
I'd LOVE to agree with you sheebo cos you're a genuine good guy. But sad to say that Hemed's feet are RUBBISH for a big man striker. 17 goals last season, of which 5 were penalties and 5 were with his head. Like I say he's not a lot better than COG 2.0. Soon as Baldock has been crucified and fenelon'ed, you'll all be thinking about Hemed next season what I'm already thinking this season.
I do wish people wouldn't JUST judge strikers on goals. Yes it's a big part of a strikers' game but it's not EVERYTHING is it... Baldock was good last season for the team - doesn't score enough, we all know that, but does contribute a lot still.
I think you're confusing a t'internet message board with the real world. We have the strike force that we have until at least January, so might as well get behind them, instead of this pointless whining.
3rd in the table at the moment is not disastrous.
Just keep quoting that 17 goals thing (incl. 5 from penalties) from last season. It's his career highlight at this level. He won't get better.
This. I actually find Hemed quite difficult to pin down, because he has a lot of qualities: good feet, silky touches, pretty good at holding the ball up, good in the air, good team worker. He is pretty slow though, and I do accept that Murray is the better finisher. And we do need another striker.
The big regret is that we didnt have Murray during his best days.
