The business of Revell going to Swindon has surprised many of us but in serious honesty, lets say we swapped Murray with Revell would you be happy with the recoup of the 300k or would it be seen as a downward investment?

If we got £300k for Murray I wouldn't care if we got Jimmy Krankie in exchange.

I would go for the fourth option. Murray is clearly a better player and anyone who disagrees with that has not watched them much. However, it is better to have a less good player who actually wants to play for you. I do think though that Revell is not good enough to replace Murray if/when he leaves.

you could possibly claim that revell has a better attitude and work rate, but there is no way anyone can claim he's a better PLAYER than murray

no way

Alex Revell is exactly the type of player Swindon need at the moment, but he's specifically NOT what we need in my opinion. Murray, however, is. I think a partnership of Dickinson and Murray would be absolutely FLAIRTASTIC. Seriously, I can't see a single flaw in the Murray ~ Dickinson partnership up front. We just need to get Murray back fit.

Except for the fact he's a prick and clearly is trying to force his way out of the club, SLIGHT flaw there.
Revell over Murray EVERY SINGLE day of the week.

The fact that Glenn practically ends up tucking his ENTRAILS into his socks after half an hours running about would dictate, I fear, that this partnership is never destined to flower.

Is it little wonder that people think that BHA fans know nothing about the game.

Would I rather have.....

A) A Player with an ok scoring record, puts effort in, tries his best every game & wants to play for us.
OR
B) A Player with a very good scoring record, shit attitude, doesn't want to play for us, walks around the pitch like some sort of king and ruins team morale.

Murray is the better player, but at the moment, i would prefer to have Revell. Mainly as he always gave 100% in every game he played.

How do you know Murray has a 'shit attitude'? Are you still basing this simply on whatever happened at Brentford? How does he walk around 'like some sort of king'? And how does he 'ruin team morale'?

Even if all the above were true and he was literally hated by every other member of the squad, I'd still be tempted to keep him as he scores goals and has talent - something for all his effort Alex Revell will never have.

Ok scoring record? He scored 4 in 40 games for Southend. Sounds like pretty much all he did was run around.

Revell has scored 23 goals in 157 appearances. I like Alex, and wish him well, but a 6 goals a season striker is not going to get us promoted.
