Murphy's red card

Surely, it's reaching the stage where we are being punished twice. CH must presumably want to name a team at least internally and work with that team on set pieces and the like. How can he do that if he doesn't know if Murphy is available?
Then he must assume he is unavailable.

This may have already been posted but I'm not trawling the whole thread to check!!

Doesn't look good if his peers and disciplinary board think the same way

Yes, but there must be some doubt, as I am aware that Brighton also approach ex-referee's as part of their internal process when considering an appeal.

Halsey, got very little right as a premier league ref, and this may be another instance where he is wrong (at least I hope it is).

At impact Danns is the only one showing his studs.
Have they ever overturned a red & given one out to the other player?

Without him and lua lua , Saturday is very difficult . Up against it . I'd even say potentially toughest game of the season so far .

Joke if it's not overturned imo . Can see why not and Halsey won't help as looks bad

Maybe the answer as has been on occasions in the past is that the sending off on the day is considered sufficient punishment. This will save the referee's face.

However, with the current attitude the rules apply and there is not any element of fairness or justice taken into account may well be the decision.

Yes, There's been a rule change this year so that can now happen.

Tranmere's Richie Sutton was sent off for 'fouling' Welling's Sahr Kabba. On appeal, his card was rescinded and Kabba was fined and banned for three matches for feigning injury.

That won't happen to Danns. no matter the circumstances, he was clearly injured

Jamie has never had a red card in his career prior to this one I don't think. In fact I think he has actually went through about 4 different full seasons without even picking up one yellow card and in the seasons he has picked up cards it has never been more than 2 or 3 per season
