The dream of 326 hard left Labour MP’s turning us into a marxist paradise looks laughable.

The poltical extremes of Corbyn and Rees-Mogg are being replaced by a new hope of moderation.

Everything's so toxic nowadays. The abuse I've seen from the Hard Left towards ANYONE who doesn't tow the party line is, quite frankly, disgusting.

To see it from a Party I used to identify with so strongly has been really tough to take. It's like history repeating seeing the nasty hard left take control. They spent 18 years in the wilderness as a result, and deservedly so.

I remember when Michael Foot became leader and made Labour virtually unelectable but he was up against an effective and popular (for many) PM in Thatcher. Corbyn and his cabal are up against the worst Tory PM in living memory and still are considered unelectable by a lot, including those such as you and me on the left.
A Labour leader such as David Milliband or Yvette cooper would be so far ahead in the polls they would get a nosebleed.

And another thing, I voted for Corbyn thinking he would be a good leader. I was wrong, he isn't and I'm sorry.

This is quite cathartic - If your next port of call after leaving Labour is joining the Tories thank it helps understand why Momentum have been so successful. It'll be a long process but we're heading in the right direction.

I'm going to put my hand up as another Labour supporter who is appalled at the current leadership, as someone who has welcomed returning to policies such as re-privatising certain industries but can't believe what a hash they are making of building a consensus within the party and actually providing a good opposition. And now this. The people who have resigned are respected MP's who would have been part of the strong left coalition that should be a government-in-waiting. There was a chance to take the electable new-Labour and move it to the left whilst staying electable, but thats been destroyed by an idealistic crusade. I'll never vote Tory but can't support Corbyn's Labour anymore. I'm not that kind of committed socialist, I just want a fair, just society that looks out for the less well-off and isn't forming governments just to enrich business.

So if this is heading in the right direction, whats the destination, perpetual minority party

All I can hope now is that Corbyn will lose the next election, that he will resign and the parliamentary Labour party won't nominate another idiot to be leader. Momentum might have had plans to deselect loads of MP's, win their seats with extreme-leftists and ensure that Corbyn's replacement would always be of the far-left. Thankfully these people leaving to be Independents might scupper that move, as if they stand for re-election I can't see Labour winning any of their seats with the exception of Berger's - either the independent will win or the left vote will be split and the Tories will take it.
