Build her a kitchen in the shed, then she can still come round and cook for you, but without having to set foot in the house. Obvious

I am trying to persuade the wife to move - it will be the 3rd one in 10 years and after each one I said never again, bit like a withdean season ticket really, I always get one, even though I know it usually bad for me

Buying your first one is easy [apart from scraping the cash together]. Wait for the stress of selling / buying next time. I for one am not moving for anybody, for a very long time.
