I remember having a paper season ticket for Withdean and tearing off the games from a booklet/stubs. Wow. How things have changed.

Disclaimer; I lived Surrey/Kent border at the time so Gillingham was an easy drive. It was also a proper football ground though and I much preferred it to Withdean.

I miss Mr Whippy perhaps we could have one outside the Amex in the summer Im sure it would be very popular lets bring the best bits of Withdean to Falmer

Fair enough if it was an easy journey for you.
I honestly think the club would have ended up non league if we had stayed at Priestfield for longer than 2 seasons.

Not everyone hated Withdean at all. I think an awful lot of people were very happy to have the Albion back in Brighton & Hove. A decade+ in Gillingham would have killed the club - no doubt about that.
