i have got to say i saw alot of this from the athletics track on sat and the old guy was treated like absolute shit......

The stewards are first class morons. Not only do they stand there in a big group pointing up into the stands and pretending to be night club bouncers they then take a guy who has done little different from the norm and tried to make an example of him.

We played barnsley at home a few years back. and they asked to see my ticket when i went to the toilet before half time......I refused as i didnt see the need (i knew where i was sitting and how to get back to the same seat) and they chucked me out and banned me for 2 games as well!!!!

They are all cretins of the highest order!!!

As a small measure of support, someone on a previous thread suggested all in South Stand, stand up for a minute during next home game. Maybe 16 minutes in (where did that number come from?)

Perhaps when standing up we could choose that moment to be vocal in our support for our team, refraining from any swearing.

Or everyone, with a great sense of drama, stands and turns their back to the stewards (and, errrm, pitch) like those soliders did in Private Jane (I think).

we should all wear steward jackets at the next game and keep telling them to sit down when they come up the stands for their next act of stupidity.

I don't think so, if you miss out the letter "c" from the word "f***ing"

Reading some of Hebbards posts on here, he swears but just misses out the odd letter. So it must be OK.................or is it a case of "kettle, pot black" for him.....?

This is an absolute farce. As Captain Grealish says, at a time when the Club need good relations with the fans more than ever they have made a HORRENDOUS gaff.

Brown out.

Look - there has been stewards v fans unrest brewing for some time now - there are many documented examples on NSC.

There is every chance of this spiralling out of control from here - more unrest and further bannings.

As such I'm quite happy to 'abuse my position' on NSC and call the club out to let people know what is going on. I can be ignored as a cider-swilling idiot from farmersville if desired.

I guess it comes back to the question I asked the other week about fan representation. Are the Supporters' Club actively involved in discussions about Withdean (and Falmer) stewarding with the club? Maybe they are - I've no idea. So, in light of not knowing, I'm happy to provoke the discussion on here.

Bozza, standing up for the little fan :clap2:

Sounds like some kind of rebel, freedom fighting slogan...

What does Lord Bracknell think of Richard? Or has he already told him to his face?
We have agreed on some things and disagreed on others.

As for the stewarding question, I repeat what I said on another thread ...

... when they spend their time pointing, calling for reinforcements, conferring, sending for the Chief Steward, pointing again, conferring again, doing nothing for ten minutes, conferring again, sending four of their number up two staircases, escorting one person out, conferring again, pointing somewhere else, dispersing, reassembling ....

... it's very intrusive and spoils the game for the hundreds of us who don't want to be watching a performance like that, but have no choice in the matter.
