More just a very big, very slow bloke.

Murray looks like Usain Bolt in comparison.

Ah, just looked at the match report - Depoitre.

From 'big, odd looking bloke' I was guessing it was Colin Quaner.

I really don't think so. I doubt anyone would care much, as it has minimal effect on us, and he's shit anyway.
But since we never win appeals for challenges far less deserving of a red (like Murphy falling over and getting a red), I would be pissed off at the injustice.

More likely to have the ban extended that the red card withdrawn.

The FA never seem to apply the extra match ban for frivolous appeals bit. Hopefully yes this time.

Why bother appealing it when EVERY ex referee has been on the media saying "definite red"?

Dermot Gallagher was on SSN today praising Oliver for spotting the challenge for what it was. A straight red card.

Presumably it's the Wagner "we are not like other teams" schtick again.

I like him less every day.

That must be the shortest time to reject an appeal in history :lolol:

"Hi, I'm calling from HTFC"

"Oh, hello there, how's the weather in Yorkshire?"

"Oh it's a bit grim, but nothing unusual"

"How can I help you today?"

"I'd like to officially lodge an appeal against Mounie's red ca..."

"Sorry. Rejected"

CLICK

"Erm, hello, are you still there?"

Not sure it even took that long. Suspect the FA just set an Out of Office something like:

"Thanks for sending your email to the FA. We are currently receiving a high level of correspondence, so please allow 48 hours for a reply*.

* Unless you're writing from Huddersfield, in which case here is your reply: no chance."

You can't blame 'Udders for trying, no worse than any pro clearly hacking a ball out yet trying to claim the throw.

It just makes them look massively tinpot. As if they haven't already learned that (outside the top six) getting a red card overturned is impossible.

And especially when it was actually a red card..... TINPOTTERY.
