I'm more concerned about the amount we send abroad at £80 per child and this was 3 years ago...shocking :nono:

Split between NINE people

Eight of whom she choose to create ( you can't tell me that they were all an accident ? ). The women is clearly greedy and expects to be able to do what she wants at the expense of the taxpayer. That's not hating the poor - it's hating the scrongers. I would be equally critical of a couple jointly earning £79k and claiming for 8 children.

Whilst stuff like this IS bloody annoying and needs to be dealt with, don't let the tabloids con you into thinking that these are the biggest issues facing our economy, when fraud and tax dodging by big business and the wealthy are far more significant.

There was some bloke on 5-Live yesterday grizzling because him and his partner were going to have their tax credits cut. He works full time, she works part time and "we chose to have 4 children, now the government is pulling the rug out from under us".

He was well spoken and clearly not stupid, but I find it astonishing how some people genuinely seem to believe that they have a moral right to breed as much as they want, and have someone else help pick up the tab.

Germany, albeit a while ago now, allowed and positively encouraged citizens to have children and the state paid for them so why can't we have the same rights?

Only the blonde and blue eyed ones without genetic illnesses.

Damn! You spoiled my fishing trip! Yes, I was talking about Nazi Germany. Take a bow sir! Still, in principle that's a modern western country in living memory where the state paid no matter how many kids you had so.... ;)

You can't beat a bit of poverty porn to grab people's attention and set off the moralising. Easily detracts from the inequality and the increasing gap between the rich and poor, much of which we are born into, which is really what differentiates us.

To be fair the issue is if you are offered things like Child Benefit, like we were, as standard some people make a calculation on how many kids they can afford.

We lost Child Benefit a few years ago and so be it, not a great issue, however others might factor that in to how many kids they can afford to have so to speak.

If a couple have four kids and are just making ends meet from their employment and THEN the son of the 17th Baronet of Ballentaylor (aka George Osborne) reduces your net income I have a lot of sympathy.

However something has to be done to pay for those 50 something's inheriting million pound houses from their parents to ensure they pay no tax, so targeting working families with more than two kids is one way, as the parents can hardly walk away from their offspring.
