I felt that this one was ok. The welbeck opportunities were ok. Also, it was a big MOTD with alot of games. Those down the running order get cut massively. I watched it on a stream as couldnt make it, and i would have probably chosen all of those chances - including those of Bournemouth's.

Interestingly I though Bournemouth played well, they were obviously defensive and slowed teh game down.. but their chances were really good. I wonder if I was in the stadium I would have thought the same....
Concerned at how our entire team was pushed in their half, even Dunk in open play, allowing them to counter into space.

It got much better once Caicedo came on.

Just watched it. Astonishing misrepresentation of the game.
The Liverpool game was the same. Awful editing. But I guess they have to squueze a lot into seven mins or so. I almost wish it was like the 'old days'. Show extended 20 mins highlights of 2 or 3 games, then just the goals from the rest. Now they film all the matches, they could choose the best 2 or 3 games too - or let the viewer decide via red button.

Pretty much zero analysis tonight on either side, but more just a focus on the stats and xG.

Oh and Richards saying that he's 'man enough' to admit that he was wrong in calling Brentford an average side.

It's not about you, Micah.

Shearer - "Oliver got both penalty decisions right". No he didn't, VAR corrected him for the first.
Indeed. And I'm not buying the proximity argument for not giving the second one. From up in my WSU seat I thought it was the right call originally. However, seeing the replay we've seen plenty given this season where that arm has been judged to be in an unnatural position and tough luck if you don't pull your arm out of the way quick enough

The MoTD edit (once again) made things appear a lot more even that they were (exhibit no.1 the league game v Liverpool a few weeks ago). They didn't even bother with Welbeck's 2 opportunities
:ROFLMAO:

Albion had over 30 shots....

Sorry mate. I've just done a fast speed run through on it.

MOTD showed 9 Brighton attacks including the three goals

MOTD only showed the Brentford goals and NOTHING else.

So, short of actually taking out the Brentford goals, I'm not sure what else they can do in the time they have.

Seriously, the idea that refs are against us, and MOTD never do us justice, is moving the belief of bias and prejudice to comedic levels.

To be fair to Shearer, he's consistent, because Oliver got them both wrong.

It doesn't matter if the ball is close to you if you're defending with your arms out like that - the second one should have been a penalty too.

Unless it was for Brentford.

Having seen the replay on Motd I'd say that second one was a penalty too. Had var left early to avoid the queues?
Yeah, defo pen. It was close to him but arm not in 'natural' position. It would have been given if the earlier one hadn't been. They bottled it.
