Brighton fans must wonder how following any other club could be more stressful. Since 1996 they've seen their team relegated three times, promoted three times in four seasons (twice as champions), twice finish one place off a drop into the Conference (once only by a better goals scored record) and two seasons ago escape relegation from the Championship by one point. Off the field it's been just as eventful, with a ground sale, a ground share, temporary home and then a move to Withdean Stadium. Debts rose, but The Seagulls avoided administration.

truth is finishing just above a relegation fight is far better than 1; getting relegated. or 2; knowing midtable obscurity is all you can achieve for the 2nd half of the season.
the joy it brought to me when we avoided the drop at hereford was so immense i still talk about it today. to people who dont give a damn, because they are mostly yorkshire folk (like me).

I take it notts county won it due to them having the most relegations. But being the oldest club having played a fair few games more than some teams then surley the are going to get relegated more than others
