Desert Orchid has died

God that's funny - I haven't read for that years. Sadly we never did find out how the horse signed the pictures.

As I seem to be under going another unwarranted character assassination again I will defend myself.
This is classic Gareth. Where is the character assassination this time? (I'm not after a binfest, just interested to know where you think you are being slaughtered)

As I seem to be under going another unwarranted character assassination again I will defend myself. Yes I am an emotional guy, I wear my heart on my sleeve, I stand up for what I believe in. I would rather care than be a hard, selfish, emotionless bastard. I have my issues, we all do but people amaze me when they make judgements about people they do not know or who have never met and do not know the backstory of events that may make a person behave they way they do. That's all really. No flounce. Carry on.

:flounce:

Marvellous thread, but to get full value I think you need to know the context - NSC had been overrun with Wrexham threads for WEEKS and to express any dissent against it felt rather like daring to stand up to all the Princess Diana bullshit in the 2 or 3 weeks after she died.

Spot on. And no flouncing here, despite coming under heavy mortar fire for highlighting this over-sentimental nonsense. The obvious point which the drama queens failed to see was that their fate - as with ours - was not decided by some fans love-in, but by planning law/money/tireless effort by Perry/public inquiries etc etc etc

There was definitely another equally good Dessie thread at the time, which I must try and find. Can't remember the title though...

I'm still at home bored suffering from Plague, so if you to gents could get this turned up a notch I would appreciate it.

Ta.

I'm working from home - so as Hillian says - if you two could really go at it hammer and tongs it would be much appreciated. You two always seem to be able to kcik off from nothing so please dont disappoint. Kettle is on, I'll be back in a couple of minutes.

THanks.

I miss Lady Gull and her teasing of hitony.
I totally missed her flounce so had no idea why she had disappeared.
US was excellent but happily he always comes back. Has to be the winner for multiple flounces surely?

There is a difference between a full-scale flounce with all the associated 'look at me' trimmings...and a silent tactical withdrawal because your tolerance threshold has been reached. Surely if you've had enough for whatever reason, the latter is the way to go for anyone.
