Be nice to think so. Unfortunately though, the leap up to first team football is a gigantic one, and history dictates that the majority of them won't make it.

I fully understand why you would say that, but I actually disagree in part.

More importantly is a policy where it is preferable to blood youngsters ahead of others, the difficulty is finding an environment where it is safe to do so, either by a comitted and strong manager that believes in it and a club in a position where it might be deemed by the Board, fans and players as a reasonable aspiration to do so.

How might Bloom or the fans currently feel it appropriate to blood a youngster or two at this stage of our promotion bid, even if their U23's peformances warrant it.

Remember if you care to look back at our currently succeeding squad, there would of been someone somewhere willing to take that risk, that chance and it delivered the players that we see now.

For me the leap to first team football isnt massive but the dynamic to even consider it is.

The Black Country
Jesse Starkey

Starkey seems to have been around for ages but has never made the match day squad. Would have thought a loan would be the next step in his development if he's not going to be sold/ let go.

i like the sound of LUIS GARCIA but that's mainly because he's Spanish- no idea how good he is

Slightly more exotic indeed. Not mainland Spain, but the Canary Islands I think.

Hughton must believe he's promising. He trained with the first team this week.

Another vote for Molumby, although the buzz about Jordan Davies is very interesting.

I like what I see of Molumby too. Starkey was good; think he could do well at Swindon, but also think it was a sensible move. Didn't see him breaking through. Like the keeper who has been playing this year whose name completely alludes me for the moment. Shame if Walton coming back means he doesn't get games.

He is the best heating engineer I have ever used. Highly recommended and cheap. Only fits Weissmann and based in Hove. Not that young though but has been a consistent performer for 5 years.
