You're being weird.
Not deliberately. I read your thread title and immediately thought of owners and media personalities. It’s only when you read the opening post you see that you’ve excluded them. I’ve no idea why you did when they’re the problem with modern football

I don’t get the hate for Grealish any more. His recent work with young children with disabilities has shown him in a different light for me, I don’t think he has a bad bone in his body
I guess that's down to whether you believe Grealish to be genuine or the pawn in his 'team' or his clubs PR media machine.

What does his recent work entail?

I get all the disaffection for Fernandes. Difficult to argue against it really….

BUT….I’d have to vote for Scott McTominay. We all dislike the preening idiots like Fernandes, but any player who frequently sets out to inflict serious injury on a fellow player is the lowest form of of footballer. Those horrible late lunges from McTominay and how he leaves his foot in just to hurt others, makes my blood boil.

and that bloke at Palace who falls over a lot, is it Haha?

Sorry, was only going to put a couple but it turned into a list :nono:

I've also still not forgiven Pilchard, but I had forgot him until thinking about this.

Perhaps he wanted to dupe us into recognizing that when it comes down to it, 99.9% of the players and officials are just hard working men and women, trying to get on with doing an honest job.

Will Hughes
Will Hughes gets a pass from me because I signed him for us in Football Manager 2016 and he stayed for the rest of his career and captained a Champions League winning side.

That none of it actually happened makes it odd, admittedly.

Glad it's been pointed out that Richarlison is a different person off the field than on it. The game of football is entertainment and he plays a role. But he's actually a very good guy.

Assuming he still counts, being active in the game, I'd go John Terry.

Grealish acted like a prick in lockdown. And is still very annoying as a player and in terms of his hair. But he seems to have grown up a bit and the last couple of times I heard him interviewed I have warmed to him against all my instincts. Maybe I am just falling for the PR/media training he's been given.

I used to like Maupay when he played for us. He used to make up for all the times he'd miss a chance you'd expect him to score by scoring a goal you wouldn't expect him to, but I know that for many of our opponents he was hated for his shithousery.

What about Liverpool's "if you can't beat 'em, maim 'em" Fabinho?
Indeed.

But none of us are really doing what the OP asked. Those (like you) who have stayed on topic (ahem...) have largely named players who have done something to annoy Brighton supporters specifically. Fabinho is a perfect example. In a wider sense, he wouldn't figure anywhere on an equivalent list made by supporters of other clubs.

Likewise (if resurrection were allowed), Whiteside. The media seemed to love him at the time. For Brighton supporters of a certain age, despite the fullness of one's bladder, Whiteside would be on fire still.

Also the OP was careful to use 'dislike' rather than hate. Therefore many of the suggestions made are invalid because the poster clearly hates the nominee.

Apologies for the pedantry but when you rightly get pulled up by the OP for not reading the rules, it gets you thinking. ???
