The Who at Dunstable Civic Hall a couple of months after they'd played Woodstock (honest!) My ears rang for a fortnight.

Joan Baez singing "Forever Young" aspecially for me and my missus and our 2 friends (I'd written to her at the theatre and requested it, and she sang it and dedicated it to me as part of the Encore) Crawley Hawth about 5 years ago.

Pink Floyd and the entire Harvest Label artists at Hyde Park in 1969 - when they previewed Atom Heart Mother.

Round the back, by the bins.
I saw the Buzzcocks at The Top Rank which developed into a near riot, with the band equipment being trashed/stolen. There were loads of good gigs there in the late 70's.

(Maybe not the most awesome, but memorable none the less).

I was there. They didn't like the spitting did they.

Vankleek Hill, actually....
Deep Purple at the Tokyo International forum when Ronnie James Dio walks on stage to sing Smoke On The Water with them. The crowd went f**kin' mental.

Kiss at the Tokyo Dome. Fabulous evening.

Mike Oldfield performing Tubular Bells III at Horse Guards Parade. The rain absolutely threw it down but nobody cared. I ended up standing next to Richard Branson when everybody pushed to the front for the encore.

Watching Bob Marley and the Wailers both nights at Brighton Center in 1980 and meeting him and Wailers afterwards...

According to my daughter, the 2nd most important day in my life.
What does she know!

The time down the place which was Coasters ( Cant think of the name now !!)

Anyway, Peter Gabriel was there and he says to the crowd, "Im going to do a song about a man called Steve Biko, anyone out there know who he is ?"
and my mate shouts out "He is a dead wog !!!"

Immediate Chaos and a mass ruck starts all around us and Peter Gabriel walks off stage

There have been so many but these spring readily to mind:

a) The Who gig at Charlton football ground in 1976 which was awesome in itself. However the best moment of the day was the sensational Alex Harvey Band with 60,000 people singing 'Delilah'.

b) The Cheap Trick Concert at The Summit in Houston in 1982 with 17,000 there. As I walked late into the arena The Animals were performing House of The Rising Sun. They weren't on the billing but it was brilliant. Asia were on the bill. I'd missed the band I originally went to see - Axe. However, early the next morning I met them outside a nightclub called Remingtons. They were in a typical rock cliché - a stretch limo with blacked out windows. They invited me back to their hotel for a drink - probably wouldn't have got out alive. I had to pass on this as my girlfriend was waiting for back at her place.

c) Led Zeppelin at knebworth in 1976. Awesome.

Others to mention Black Sabbath at Hammersmith Odeon and farewell concert at Reading 1983. UFO/Budgie at the Dome. All the old Motown artists Four Tops Supremes Temptations at the Dome. Jethro Tull at the Dome. Doctors of Madness at Top Rank Suite. I could go on.
