Are you sure your Morton-supporting plumber DID actually go to the Goldstone Bensgrandad? Because other than the fact that there's a football pitch in the middle the two grounds have nothing in common.

So apart from the fact that their 'west stand' doesn't cover the whole length of the pitch what exactely are the similarities?

6 foot drop from one end of the pitch to the other?

This was a serious question in the hope that somebody may have been to Mortons ground at some time and noticed the similarity as regards the layout and look etc that this chap spoke of.

I have been to Greenonk Mortons Stadium(Cappielow Park) and in all truth it is similar to the Goldstone if memory serves me right. And they also play in Blue and White to similar i would say.

I will say however took them pics must have waited for days, in my experience of going to Greenock in my youth the sun does not shine too often up there.

I have and it looks small just like the Goldstone. Good old Morton loyal fans they have.

While we are on the subject - I thought that Cheltenham's main stand looked identical to the old west stand at the Goldstone.

Cant be bothered to post a link but just had a look on Internet Football Ground Guide and I am right!
