This really spooks me.

And makes me convinced we'll get another striker in the squad, with both Hemed and Baldock leaving.

I know you have your finger on the HGP pulse, so where do we stand at the moment and what impact would signing this guy have on that?

Can I just say how nice it is to have Iranian fans on here to give us some insight and tips on potential signings. Long may you be Albion supporters, I hope you are all planning a visit to the Amex soon.

Nice :)

We’re going to need a bigger stadium.

I'm not anti-disability but this is good news. Should make it much easier to kick the ball.

LoL! Got a bit excited, and rushed the post... edited now, but still has legs! ;-)

Silly old bat
A further thought, if he signs amazing to think club will have managed to get 2 international CBs and ensured Goldson can play regularly after surgery and netted £3m+ in the process

Paul Winstanley, as important to the club as the board or coaching staff.

Insider: Barbs, have you seen what's happened to our social media following and engagement since we signed Ali?

Barbs: Go on...

Insider: It's gone crazy - jumped to a whole new level.

<Paul Barber picks up the phone>

Barbs (into phone): Winstanley - get another Iranian ASAP.

Then Barber out's phone rings.

Hello BarberOut is your old pal Mr AMEX here, these transfers do nothing for us.

...but look at the traffic.

... You'll not sell any shirts.

...oh.

We already have 7 HGP's, plus Sam B, Oliver N, even Ritchie T (although I presume the latter will exit to Rotherham), but this could displace, say, Suttner...

If we sign Morteza, then we'll have 16 definites of the 17 permitted non-HGPs in the squad.

We will also have Hemed, Skalak and Suttner - so 2 of these wouldn't make the cut.

I assume Skalak will leave.

If Hemed leaves, either Baldock stays in the squad ( but I'm sure he is going so perhaps discount this ), or we get a HGP / U21 striker in ( eg Ings or Abraham etc. ).

If Suttner leaves, either Norwood stays in the squad, or we recruit a new HGP ( which doesn't really have to be a left back ).

Surely, it will be 7 HGP's plus one of Oliver N or Sam B? I expect the former... if both go, then we will have to sign an HGP...

I want this to happen. Not least because it means we won't have caved in to Reading's absurd demands over Moore, and also means the chances of us keeping Baldock are higher (HGP).

I like Baldock, I like centre backs who play for their country, and I don't like Reading.

I think we can all agree with that :)...

Yes, it could be either of these 2, or perhaps another signing.

Brilliantly put, succinct, appealing and accurate!

We were Richie Towell's first English club. He wouldn't be a HGP.
