Moral dilemma, deaf neighbours, bloody noisy

Ask them to keep the noise down perhaps

Before you go to the council like others have suggested, at least bloody talk to them firsst.

I'm not sure what the obsession is with letters and notes, a bloke in my block of flats used to leave people rude notes all the time, but if you tried to talk to him about it he'd shit himself.

Does that mean, there will be noise or there won't be noise? Difficult one to figure out, that. But they're just deaf, they're not deaf offenders?

I feel your pain!!

I lived below a couple of inconsiderate idiots for about 18 months who didn't give a toss about anyone else living in the block of flats, shouting, swearing, playing loud music, I could hear their TV over ours etc etc. I asked them to keep the noise down and they just carried on, I complained to the landlord and the council and nothing was ever sorted out. In the end I had to move house, because I just couldn't take the strain of it all. ARGH.

Ask John Catt for advice-he seems to be expert in noise pollution.

Thanks for the advice - they actually seem quite nice (not that we've ever spoken - but they always wave!). The music is a recent thing though, we thought it may have been for the vibrations too - it certainly vibrates the wall. The other half went around the back (or-err) last night and had a chat with one of their not-so-deaf friends, who was out having a smoke. She was actually quite nice and they turned down the music to a more acceptable level after eleven.

Normally we wouldn't have been able to do that as they don't seem to have that many friends come over.

We still had to put up with the noisy sex mind - I'm thinking of drilling a hole through the wall, installing a camera and creating a pay-per-view noisy sex channel!
