Specifically what is it about the demographics, that would lead you to think the electorate would vote for clueless British-Punjabi Monty Panesar, over the experienced sitting MP, British-Punjabi Virendra Sharma?

I think it's at the very least patronising and at most, racist. Parachute a token asian man in that area and they're bound to vote for him, and Indians love cricket don't they? If he get's elected he can punt his party's nationalist agenda, if you wanna peddle racist policies just get a thick / non white skinned person in
