I think we shuld go right back to how it used to be. Monarch, no parliament with most of us eating dung and getting killed by the French/Spanish etc.

I think democracy was a wonderful idea but unfortunately most people are too thick to be able to run their own lives let alone vote for who runs the country.

Bring back capital punishment, conscription, average life expectancy 34 and bubonic plague.

Are they really her personal property. Any gifts given to a head of state because of their position are surely the property of the state. Just because generations of chinless Germans have had sole access to them doesn't make them their property.

Yes. Artists were summoned to paint portraits of the ancestors and paid so then handed down from grandfather to nephew to niece etc.

Not true - the length of parliaments is limited to 5 years by the 1911 Parliament Act.

Why dont we just bypass the monarchy and sign all are sovereignty over to a foreign power, the politicians can lie about it and pretend it makes no difference.

Well, the government did say last year that, for the forseeable future, our foreign policy would not alter from the foreign policy of the USA.
