Statement From The Joint Administrators Of The Wrexham AFC Limited
("The Club") David Robert Acland And Steven John Williams
Dated 14th March 2006
We are pleased to announce that The President of The Queens Bench Division,
Sir Igor Judge, Lord Justice Dyson and Sir Peter Gibson, have unanimously
dismissed the appeal mounted by Crucialmove Limited in respect of the
Summary Judgement given in the Club's favour by His Honour Judge Norris QC
in October.
Subject to clarification in respect of monies due to Crucialmove in respect
of the original acquisition costs and of course the costs of the
proceedings, we fully expect this to be the end of this litigation thereby
enabling us to proceed with a disposal of the Club.
It is our desire to secure a sale of the Club as a going concern and to
obtain the agreement of the creditors prior to The Football League's
deadline of 3rd June 2006. Whilst this is a momentous day in the Club's
history, we clearly still have a number of hurdles to overcome in order to
secure the long-term future of the Club.
We would therefore invite all parties who wish to acquire the Club to submit
(and in some cases, resubmit) their bids urgently. Any offer should include
the quantum of the bid, timescale, evidence of and source of funding, any
and all conditions attaching to the offer, and their plans for the Club
going forward.
We sincerely hope that this news proves a boost to the management and
players of the Club who have performed magnificently in such adverse
conditions.
Finally, we take this opportunity to thank our legal team for their sterling
efforts in securing this result, Joey Byrne of Turner Parkinson LLP, John
Randall QC and Alistair Wyvill of St Phillips Chambers. We also again thank
all those parties connected with the Club and, in particular, the Wrexham
Supporters Trust and all fans who have lent their support to the litigation
