Just read the Molanho may be offered a trial at Malaga with a view to a permanent move. Should we let him go and free up the money or should we give him more time?

Give him a go but if they want to give us a fair bit of money then let him go.

Where did you read this btw?

Seafront shelters
Sky sports "Malaga seem interested in handing a trial to Brighton & Hove Albion striker Maheta Molango - according to reports in Spain.

The Switzerland-born African, who carries an EU passport, joined The Seagulls on a three-year contract after impressing manager Mark McGhee (pictured) during a pre-season trial at The Withdean Stadium in the summer.

However, the former Atletico Madrid and SV Wacker Burghausen player looks to have attracted the interest of the Costa del Sol club, with Malaga seemingly interested in trialing the 22-year-old - with a view to a move during January's transfer window.

The Primera Liga outfit are struggling with injuries to strikers Marcio Amoroso and Alexandre Geijo, though former Manchester City hit-man Paulo Wanchope has been scoring goals for the Rosaleda outfit recently.

It remains to be seen if Brighton would allow the young Congo international to pursue a potential move to La Liga with Malaga after penning the player to a long-term deal this term."

One option could be to let him go on loan. If he cuts it out there then he may go for a fee???

Worth a loan move to see how he gets on. He must be doing something right to attract the interest of a top flight Spanish club. Shame he can't seem to be able to adapt to our league and style of football.

They must have seen him in Athletico Madrids reserves before he came here. Perhaps they were mulling over a move for him then, before he was SNAPPED UP by the Albion following his dazzling pre-season form.

The guy has obviously got something to offer. He had a great pre season where he deservedly earned his contract.

Mcghee obviously thinks he has a future in English football otherwise he would not have offered him such a long contract. I hope we don't let him go off to another club and then watch him develop into a top class striker.

From what I have seen he has got talent, but just has not yet been able to adapt his style of play to suit English football.

Agreed, and I really liked the look of Molango pre-season. But its not really worked out for the fella has it. I know he's only been here a couple of months, and he COULD develop into a very useful striker. But I think if Malaga offer to take him off our hands, we should let him go, particularly if we can actully get a fee for him.

In an ideal world, Molango could stay at the Albion and develop his potential and be a real asset to the squad. But the reality is that we are in desperate need of striker reinforcements NOW, and if getting rid of Molango free's up a bit of cash to enable us to bring in a more experienced striker ready for the first team right now, then its a no-brainer really.

Thanks Mahete, but we need a big ugly bastard up front, and we need your wages to get him.

Have to agree with you Easy... Molango's got the potential but if he doesn't show now let's take the moeny and run! Play him at Sunderaldn and decide after I say.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
I bet Mahete is only on pennies with us though, i cant see that freeing up his wages is going to make a big difference to us.
MM certainly wont see any money if we do manage a fee.

Its down to him really, if he wants to go for it, then we should let him.

True, Molango's hardly going to be on megabucks with us. But the fact remains that MM is actively seeking a new striker, and if Molango is off the wagebill then that can only help increase his options in other players.

Don't let him go on loan; when he doesn't make it we would then lose the chance to get a fee for him.
