I’ve now seen a Sky Sports News’ presenter say ‘there’s a feeling that Brighton are going to have to change their stance if Arsenal are going to consider making another offer.’
The thing is SSN (and morons everywhere) he isn’t for sale unless he meets Tony’s terms and timescale. The buying club has no say.
Well of course we are trying to sell him because we need the money, isn't it.

And now we are just being greedy so Arsenal will stop trying to do us a favour and leave us high and dry, with our unwanted over-paid player.

In other news, Sunak is fast becoming Britain's most popular ever prime minister....

between now and the summer window we will issue our accounts for last season
suspect first ones ever showing a trading profit
having sold Maupay and Trossard this season we will likely turn a profit this season too
so if you wanted proof of "we don't need the cash" were not a forced seller ...
if whichever team wants him most in summer has CL cash to burn too from making top 4 we are very much in control here ...

Chelsea also have the issue that PL and CL squads lists are 25 players only

... not the 125 they have on the payroll at present

What happened to 'Naylor knows NOTHING'?

It's almost as if he checks things out with the club and reports what he gets told. If the story changes (for example with an offer of £300m), so will his line(s). It's not rocket science and yet people queue up to have a pop at him
The club want to manage the amount of chat about him going, and make it clear that he's not for sale, so it looks like they've decided to give Naylor some information on this occasion. That doesn't mean that Naylor's had inside information every single time he posts about possible Brighton transfers. And Naylor is paid to write about Brighton, so when he isn't fed info from the club, he makes stuff up, like most other journalists.

The fact that fans aren't shouting 'Naylor knows nothing' is because this time it looks like he has been told something, which is evidence that when he is criticised it's not just because it's him, it's because his posts sometimes lack credibility.

Even better if he’s not as ‘in demand’ in the summer.

Let’s hope that Jorginho and Declan Rice are Arsenals future 🤣🤣

“there’s a feeling” :lolol:

They get paid to waffle, when “Brighton aren’t selling” would’ve been clearer.

Very deliberate, to draw in gormless viewers 24-7 hoping for news of a deal, giving the faux impression of many spinning transfer plates.
