You're just a youngster. Many of us drifted away a bit at your age (work, kids, etc.) but then drifted back. It is either in the blood or it isn't.

Personally I find it difficult to get too upset that we now have a whole load of players so good that the 'top' clubs are willing to pay insane amounts of money to sign them. I remember watching Andy Ansah, Alan Duffy and the like. We used to be dog shit. Relax, and enjoy the best football we have ever played.
Alan Duffy was brilliant he could hit a shot which hit one post, then the opposite one and then not go in. takes extreme talent to do that

The total market value of all the players on Caicedo’s new agent’s books is Bo-diddly-squat.

About 60m euros in total, and Moisés’ value swamps the rest. If ever a two bit agent thought they had won the lottery, it’s this one.

In a way surely players represented by smaller agencies / rosters would be better than larger ones. If you’re the player that is.

Rest assured there are already replacements in the scouting pipeline for all of our key players including Mackie, Sanchez and Mitoma so I’m not bothered tbh
Whilst we've certainly have a fantastic track record in recent years I certainly don't share your rested assurance of hitting the jackpot time after time.

@The Maharajah of Sydney

You’re attributing a quote to me I didn’t make! Also just to clarify- I didn’t say anything about ‘hitting the jackpot’ (whatever that means) - what I said is that for every player or key member of staff, the Club already has a target replacement for should they leave with little warning - this is common knowledge.

I trust TB/PB’s decision-making with the Club’s buying and selling - it’s part of a sustainable business plan that has us currently in 6th place half way through the season - TB/PB is not going to sanction a fire sale that leaves the team in serious jeopardy of dive bombing out of the PL. Over the coming seasons there will be peaks and troughs but overall I think BHA has a proven record under TB of continually developing and improving and aiming for a European challenge ( which will come to fruition if not this season then within a few.). Selling MC now or in the Summer won’t make any difference to that long term plan IMO.

So yes, rest assured 🙂

dwayne, looney and WATFORD O, those were the days :lolol:
I was a moderator back then (just called 'Kev') and I worked night shifts. So whenever Dwayne et al posted nonsense late at night, I had great fun deleting all their threads :)

Quite interesting listening to Perry Groves saying earlier that the kind of stunt pulled by the agents would be enough to get them fitted fired. I'm not sure he realised that they've only just been appointed 🤣

Other than that, both he and Adrian Durham were #TeamAlbion on this one.

Quite tragic really that an agency has meant that someone who doesn’t have a grasp of the English language and is 21 in a foreign country is just gonna get a load of abuse so they can get a pay out and play it out on social media. Don’t think they understand the damage it’ll do. Oh well they got their quick buck.
Totally agree but a lot of people don't seem to understand the agent manages all social media accounts , he will reply for the player and act as if he is that person. Perhaps he will run through important messages like im getting you a move and a big pay rise with a champions medal are you ok with that Moises er yeah what well ok. You know what your'e doing.

Sure. And most of the very worst.
Your comments about RDZ are beginning to sound a bit petty. I know you have good tactical knowledge. Perhaps it would be better to critique his actual abilities if you are so inclined rather than the fact he is not GP. For all of the rest of us the identity of the manager is not the most important thing about our interest in BHA.

Sorry to quote a reply to another message but I couldn't agree more with your sentiment. The club's approach to transfers has served us well so far so I think we can trust their judgement with this and future dealings.

I’d take the clubs stance……and keep him away until after Tuesday. .chances are he’ll be back next Saturday especially with AL out injured and AM suspended
On Wednesday, just put him in a room with Lallana, close the door and retreat for 15 minutes. That'll sort the fucker out!

Part of issue with all this Caicedo business, is the cumulative situation going on.

Losing Trossard was a shame, but with Caicedo asking to go, and the likelihood of us losing MacAllister in the summer and probable offers for Mitoma too, I think in the space of 6 months we could have lost our complete engine room.

For me this is more sickening rather than just losing any one player.

I think everybody understands the agency manages the account. That’s not the point. He is responsible for anything on his account whether written by him or not.

Really? If someone gave me an opportunity, paid me well and nurtured and looked after me and within a year or so someone else gave me the opportunity to triple my wages I'd show some loyalty to the person who gave me the chance even if it meant a bit of short term loss. Not everyone is driven by greed.
Good for you, but as I said, back in the real world. He's looking out for his family and probably extended family. Something that, for example, Enoch can't now do to the extent he would have done had he still be playing.

As for nurturing, he hasn't even been with us two years. You make it sound like we've had him since he was 14 and have developed him over a long period of time.

Although Enoch is not the best example of your point given the loyalty and support shown to him by the club post his playing career. No-one is asking Caicedo to pledge commitment to BHA for the remainder of his career. Rather, people are pointing out that he has a contract (a two way arrangement) that he has been asked to honour until the Summer and that for him to try to force Tony’s hand on Instagram is out of order.
