Are you a bit thick? The club clearly don’t want to sell him.
I'm not thick thanks very much but if the club has any balls they should say no.
If we fold every time a so called big club comes knocking at our door we will never get into Europe.
As someone said in another post "We are becoming the new Southampton" where we sell off all our crown Jewels to the highest bidder and look where they are now.

The whole thing reeks of an attempted and very co-ordinated coup by Arsenal and Caidedos new agents.

Arsenal are not prepared to pay Brighton/Blooms valuation so tell Moises agents to publically demand the transfer and try and force it (which only favours Arsenal).
It worked for Arsenal with Trossard so they know what to do.

Yeah - I remember when Tony wanted to keep Dale Stephens one January when he was at his peak.

He had a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to play in the Premier League. Dale downed tools and put a statement out on social media. I was in Newcastle at the game when he didn’t make the squad and was furious. We lost. I could see a massive difference in our midfield without Dale pulling the strings.

But as you say, player/agent power always trumps our Tony, or does it?

Tony stuck to his guns.

Dale stayed and helped to ultimately win us promotion. You don’t know Tony very well at all do you.
I hope Tony does stick to his guns but it’s not comparable mate.

This is Arsenal/Chelsea and everything else that entails and nearly £100m, the price of the Amex, not Burnley and £7m. Plus a it’s generational, international midfield powerhouse talent in Caicedo, not a ten a penny, lower PL/Championship midfield plodder in the nicest possible way.

Chin up mate.

Ali Mac has been nothing but professional and we haven't sold Caicedo and he will be made to stay (even if he sulks for a few days). In 2 weeks this will have blown over and we will be battering Bournemouth on our way to a top 4 charge.
If only we were playing anyone but Bournemouth.

More chance of De Zerbi out threads than top 4 potential, after that game.

It's such a fine line we have to walk in response to this.

Take the hard-line approach and put our foot down might discourage future signings from joining.

Take the other route and we look a soft touch with regards to player power.

It's all just a bit shit, isn't it? I know our business model will always invite this particular situation but f*** me, if we could have just a little stability for a bit that'd be nice.
I am so hacked off, that I'm swerving the developments mainly, but this is a quality comment deserving of being highlighted.

They have said no though, which is why you were accused of being thick when you said it begged the question of whether the club wants to progress.

Albion will have a price in mind where selling is worthwhile right now. Arsenal haven't met it and so the player has had a strop in an attempt to force the move.

That's where we are right now. Nothing to suggest our club will do anything different just because of that.

I was looking forward to Sunday….

it now feels like the beginning of the end, Liverpool will exact their revenge, Ali Mc will be next too flounce off, & we will then tumble down the league.

All that glitters is not gold, get back on your place #teamslikebrighton know your place.
That's exactly where my Albion mojo is this morning. Makes me wonder what the point of it all is. The instant we get anywhere near doing something amazing, the big boys swoop in with their gazillions and slowly but surely dismantle everything we've built to knock us firmly "back down where we belong"

Name a want away Brighton player that has stayed at the club since Dale stephens?
That's not the question you should ask though. How about

"Name a want away Brighton player since Dale Stephens that has left the club to a buying club that failed to met our valuation?"

Answer: None. Not one.

Cucurella: Bid of 30m+ flatly rejected. Chelsea came in with silly money. Of course we agreed to that, and then got an upgrade!

Trossard: was here for 2.5 seasons, and nobody is saying 21m isn't a fair price for a player who wasn't guaranteed a start here.

Was he injured? I hoped he was being rested.

Either way, I'm going to enjoy Arsenal blowing up with Tross getting some abuse from the entitled Arsenal fans. Sure this is going to happen in the second half of the season.
We can be sure, too. Good as he can be, we all know how inconsistent he also is.

You do realise every time a so called big club comes knocking at our door Mr Bloom has always said no.

"No no no.

Getting warmer.

No no

Close.

No.

Yes, you've got a deal".

In your world, Trossard is at Spurs, Cucu is at City, White was sold for £30m and Biss if not at Villa would have left for £15m.

in a few years Moises will be one of the best midfielders in the world and probably playing for Madrid. The club know this and will get fair value for a player with huge potential. Whether any club can meet that valuation in the next 3 days is debatable despite what his agents want.
