100m or he stays, hold the nerve with this one. Will still attract a good fee in the Summer.
Exactly my thoughts. If Chelsea, Arsenal or whoever really want him now, then cough up the £100m, or wait until the summer.

From the players perspective it's only 4 more months to wait. Plus in the summer he may have a wider choice of suitors. To me that would be better for Caicedo, the club as it allows us time to get a replacement, and the fans who can appreciate him for the next 4 months.

Keep him until the summer even if he never plays for us again (which he'll have a change of heart and play for us after he stops sulking and his agents crawl back into their holes, forget about Moises while they can't steal millions in the closed transfer window times). Stand firm Tony. Don't sell

Yeah - I remember when Tony wanted to keep Dale Stephens one January when he was at his peak.

He had a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to play in the Premier League. Dale downed tools and put a statement out on social media. I was in Newcastle at the game when he didn’t make the squad and was furious. We lost. I could see a massive difference in our midfield without Dale pulling the strings.

But as you say, player/agent power always trumps our Tony, or does it?

Tony stuck to his guns.

Dale stayed and helped to ultimately win us promotion. You don’t know Tony very well at all do you.
Lewis Dunk refused to play to get a move to Fulham.

I think we'll probably see an announcement from the club this morning.
Even if there is, it probably won’t mean too much unless it’s a categoric ‘not selling this window’. Did the same with Cucurella, confirming that no deal was done. He left the following day.

Would love to be a fly on the wall at this morning’s meetings.

It's the first offer from Arsenal, I'm sure they will knock on the door again.
I don't blame MC what an amazing offer for a young lad.
It's just the timing of the whole thing.
I think they will need to knock a lot more times they are probably 20-30m off our minimum valuation

We sold White when we wanted to, when the price was right. Leeds were told to do one, which was difficult for Ben as he had emotional ties to them.
He got a wage rise, and waited a year.

Every time we sell a top player I see my chance of watching the Albion play in Europe diminishing.
Getting beyond a joke now and it does make me question "does the club want to progress?"
Are you a bit thick? The club clearly don’t want to sell him.

This isn’t about ‘if’ Caicedo leaves. It’s about when.

Caicedo does actually have Ballon D’Or potential, Tony knew that when he signed him. The plan would never have been to have kept him long. We can’t offer him the chance of winning the Champions League every year which is quite frankly, what his talent deserves.

But you think Tony will be forced to sell this window by a £80m bid when he doesn’t want to. You are wrong.

Will he be gone by September? I’d say almost certainly but we’ll have a decent replacement in the hutch by then and RDZ would have had time to adjust the tactics etc.

I was looking forward to Sunday….

it now feels like the beginning of the end, Liverpool will exact their revenge, Ali Mc will be next too flounce off, & we will then tumble down the league.

All that glitters is not gold, get back on your place #teamslikebrighton know your place.
Chin up mate.

Ali Mac has been nothing but professional and we haven't sold Caicedo and he will be made to stay (even if he sulks for a few days). In 2 weeks this will have blown over and we will be battering Bournemouth on our way to a top 4 charge.
