So really need to get him another year or so, otherwise at the end of next season we're in a similar situation as we were with Bissouma.

Read somewhere that he's only on £3.5k a week. Peanuts for someone of his ability.
Read the same….not sure how reliable that is though. It’s on here. Doubt he’ll be with us at the end of next season, but if he is he’ll be on a new contract anyway

Bissouma left in the last year of his contract, refusing another deal because he wanted Champions League football. Moises is not in the last year of his contract. He's like a 21 year old Kante who can also attack. You won't get him for less than you could get Bellingham.

Liverpool fan, and I come in peace!

Just hearing a few rogue Liverpool ITKS saying you guys are signing another Ecuadorian CM, with this I'm just curious if it's an addition or dealing with life after Moises.

Just looking for the opinion on Brightons side, I think it's pretty obvious Liverpool and others are keen, I imagine it'll take a pretty penny to get him and Brighton should be holding out for top.dollar by the sounds of it!

Another Q just what to expect from him should be come to the north?? Is he as good as people.say? Only seen him a limited amount of time!!

Cheers!!
You are saying this as if he is suddenly leaving us. Why don't you just piss off back to your forum, using the internet in your southern based household.

My friend’s a Brighton ticket holder and he reckons he’s shithouse

The issue is the fee. If Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City or Arsenal came in for him (or a top European side in the CL) he’d definitely go.

I read a lot of other fan’s forums to try and keep perspective of the league as a whole. Plus I’m working from home and often have long spells of nothing to do.

The impression universally, including on the Liverpool forums, is that the fans set in their heads a unrealistically low fee that they want a player for e.g - “let’s just get Caicedo for £40m”.

They never take into account the other team’s valuation of the player, the business acumen of the other club/their need to sell (we have the best owner in the country and no financial issues) and sometimes the player’s desire to move. Although I don’t think it would be an issue in this case on the latter.

Essentially, I can’t imagine the fee being lower than £60m plus add-ons (possibly including a player), and could be as high at £80-90m if other clubs are in the running.

Fans of other clubs are constantly undervaluing our players because we’re “just Brighton” and we should be honoured to sell our best players to the biggest clubs. Times have changed a lot.
This. Deluded idiots, mainly those who support the bigger clubs and live in a bubble.

We may well be signing Cifuentes.

If so, he is NOT the replacement for Caicedo. Last year, Potter played Bissouma as the midfield destroyer and Caicedo was played further up the pitch. Potter, then De Zerbi have Caicedo anchored back where Biss used to play.

He can play this role because of his anticipation, strength, speed and most importantly, tackling ability; he can this performing to the same ability as Biss but with an added goal threat and better passing.

We have but one athletic midfield destroyer in the squad. We need back-up. Cifuentes is the understudy we need when Caicedo is injured or suspended.

It’ll be £85m+ to take him off our hands. To say that he is in a different league to £62m man Cucurella is an understatement. The good things is, your £85m will buy us another half dozen punts (mostly South American) so we won’t stand in his way if you are ready to break Liverpool’s transfer record.

have a look at Cucurella and Bissouma. Mugged Chelsea and Spurs off to the tune of £100million.

Still can't believe you didn't get more for Biss!!

Good analysis that mate, thank you.

I'm always on other forums to see who's highly rating who ect! Working from home will get you that way!!

You can take Curtis 👀
Biss was in the last year of his contract, and it was clear he wasn't going to sign another. We could end up getting £35m for him, which is pretty good in those circumstances.

Similar to what you got for Mane.

Surprised how nice everyone is being.

Personally some bellend coming on to our forum to ask what they should expect if their club continues with the asset stripping of ours based on some Twitter bollocks should be told to f*ck off for being a cock.
Why? He's not Chelsea - and he hasn't said anything disrespectful or derogatory.

If Biss had of signed a new contract we would still have let him go , and both parties would have stuffed Levy for more money , so we got less than he was worth imo .

As for Moises - simple - i think he is at least as good now as Biss , and is only 21 so potential is ridiculous . If Grealish is £100m and Spam want £200m for Rice yada yada yada , Moises is £100 - 120m all day long .

I very much doubt we’ll let him go in January. Possibly the end of the season for around £80m.
Potter will no doubt want him and say that he was the coach that initially developed him whereas in truth he probably didn’t play him as early as he should have.

Don’t be too harsh. He’s a Scouser. Taking things which aren’t theirs is second nature.

£80 million won't buy his boots. It'll take £100m plus.
