First time I think I've seen Naylor so bullish. He has obviously been "allowed" to be so blunt.
Haha ok!No the general posts on here - not you!
Admit i did fall a little into the trap, but, i agree and it is fantastic! Would be boring on here if not!Fantastic NSC binfest! All we really know is that a week ago he said how grateful he was to Brighton and how happy he is playing every week. He also added that our club is the best place for him right now. A few clickbaits on Twitter and the crap hits the fan. NSC at its best!
True but submitting a bid is one thing. People on here jumping to conclusions makes me wonder at their motives.David Ornstein isn't really one to be filed under clickbait to be fair. If he says a bid has been rejected then I'm pretty sure it has.
Yep. Me too. Plastics at work laughing this morning about it, believing anything that is written online.
I know what you mean - I’ve had texts from 2 gooners. Doesn’t help with the worry or mood but I’m staying as bullish as Naylor on this one and literally think those journalists who unfortunately have access to Twitter accounts, are complete bellends. As are most agents who shit stir and unsettle players (often their own clients )Yep. Me too. Plastics at work laughing this morning about it, believing anything that is written online.
Yup. Pretty much exactly what happened to Southampton is now happening to us. It's unfortunately always going to be a case of us needing the recruitment team to keep pulling rabbits out of hats. This exactly what I hate about the Premier League, the big six or seven now, see any threat or talent and just pick your team apart.
The money that they generate for the media, and the whores that circle high in the sky swooping down to attack from height sowing seeds of doubt, spewing bullshite, and finally incircle a carcass picking it too pieces.
I do wonder what the point is of assembling over time a club that can challenge for it to inevitably be ransacked and whimper back down the table, eventually dropping down the leagues.
A bid will not be submitted unless the buying club and the players representatives have roughly agreed basic terms/willingness to move in principle.True but submitting a bid is one thing. People on here jumping to conclusions makes me wonder at their motives.
Hi, can I buy your house for two-thirds of its value and no more?By bidding £60m for a player?
Anyone fancy pissing me off?
Is it though? So far the only player from the starting 11 (and on a long contract) that we didn't want to sell was Cucu. Biss, Burn and Tross had served their time as had Potter to be fair and White, whilst quality, was hardly key to our defence.Yup. I mean, that doesn't make any sense in this context for so many reasons.Hi, can I buy your house for two-thirds of its value and no more?
There's no doubt that the recruitment team will always be under pressure to deliver quality, but they have a bigger budget, a far better sales pitch and a much bigger pond to fish in now, than they did 2,5,10 years ago. The club is certainly giving them all the help it can. Glass half fullYup. Pretty much exactly what happened to Southampton is now happening to us. Can see what you mean and wonder if this is why we jump to conclusions. I mean, most of us would be off for lots more money and a shiny Premier League winners medal so we readily assume that he must be the same. No doubt his agent has talked to Arsenal, a way round tapping up. How Moises reacts will tell us what we want to know.A bid will not be submitted unless the buying club and the players representatives have roughly agreed basic terms/willingness to move in principle.
A bid coming in comes way after clubs/agents have already had discussions.
Thinking Caicedo would likely want to move to a bigger team on more money is hardly a damning judgement of character or showing some motives as you'd say. It's being a realist. I'd want the move in his situation.
It's like mumsnet on here
We're still a small club, we've suddenly unearthed a mass of talent, the big boys want them and some will want to join them asap. It's just the way it is and always has been.
Our wage bill is bottom 3 - bottom 5 maybe. So yes still pretty small clubAre we still a small club?
We're not big 6, but compared to where we were ten years ago, we're massive - in both stature and in wealth.
As we have a chance of qualifying for Europe, then we have every chance of keeping our best players, for at least this window.
I predict that the only way we are going to lose Caicedo this window, is if someone makes us an offer that we can't refuse.

Perhaps - but not sure ambitious money driven footballers think like thatNo, that's called being a sensible club.
We COULD spend more - but we choose not to.
That’s how to measure big clubs now is it?Our wage bill is bottom 3 - bottom 5 maybe. So yes still pretty small club
