No problem with ambitious players choosing us to progress their careers, after all that is part of our appeal as a destination club. What I have problem with is this release clause demand before he has even kicked a ball. We have a proven record in developing talent and allowing players to move on when it is in the interests of both the Albion and the player. To throw a hissy fit about a release clause is disrespectful and does not fit in with our team ethic. Kudus or his representatives should know better.
Did you film this hissy fit when you witnessed it?

This.

It seems like some posters have decided he's a bad apple just because he hasn't signed the first contract thrown at him.

As far as I can see he hasn't commented on the situation himself and no doubt his agents are dealing with it all. Additionally, he hasn't rocked the boat at Ajax and publicly pushed for a move.
I read that Brighton had walked away as unhappy with the negotiating from his side. All I and others are really saying is that we support that type of stance. I also cannot see how giving a release clause is at all consistent with our financial model.

Again a reminder - it took us 2 windows to sign Enciso as we couldn’t agree terms the first time round.

Rejecting terms offered doesn’t make you a ‘dickhead’ nor does negotiating a contract worth millions of £££

His agent is a right aunt so, for that reason, I'm out.

I guess you're not one of the ones I'm referring to then.

Others have said "he can feck right off", "he's a nob" and accused him of throwing a "hissy fit".

Looks like Kudus disagrees with today's news about him...

Our Milf hunting 99% unreliable source/friend is still thinking he’ll come to us. I suppose the surer he is, the less likely a deal?

I think it’s much simpler. Like every other footballer, he’d prefer a ‘big 6’ side - more money, more chance of trophies, more prestige. He’ll be waiting to see if the rumoured big 6 interest materialises. If not, I reckon he’ll sign for us (if we haven’t signed an alternative by then). So likely an end of August signing, if it happens, but I don’t believe this is dead in the water yet.

It’s insanely unlikely but it would be so so funny if he’s right on this one.

Did he ever reveal how he knew about the Mwepu deal?

“……..Release clause demand before he has even kicked a ball………”
when is he supposed to demand a release clause if it is not before the contract is finalised and signed?

imagine the scene the week after he signed:
”great debut last Saturday, Mo! Really glad we got the deal over the line.”
”Yes, I was happy with it. By the way, my agent forgot to mention the release clause. We need to amend the contra…”
”yeh, right. F@#& off!”

How about you don't demand a release clause in the first place. You either want to sign and play for us or you don't.

Did he demand ? Why shouldn’t anyone negotiate anything?
